The opportunity

The role of Senior Scheduler works to provide scheduling services to all Hammond Home Care areas in the Northern Sydney and Beaches team. The Senior Scheduler will efficiently manage and administer client and staff schedules. 

There is a minimum of 3 days per week in the office and 2 days at home.

About the role
  • Develop and dispatch forecasted rosters that optimise workforce utilisation, maintain contractual obligations, and support continuity of care.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients needing schedule adjustments or team composition changes, ensuring responsiveness and alignment with care preferences.
  • Collaborate with Care Team Leaders to identify workforce gaps, support recruitment planning, and ensure the workforce meets both client needs and HammondCare’s growth objectives.
  • Monitor scheduling KPIs including Make-Up Contract Hours, Specialised Carer utilisation, and resolution of complaints and incidents related to scheduling and care delivery.
  • Contribute to ongoing refinement of scheduling processes, systems, and workforce strategies to enhance service quality and efficiency.
About You
  • 1-2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a similar industry, with scheduling experience in an aged care setting preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, technical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience driving change processes, with a high level of dedication and passion for delivering quality services for aged care clients.
  • Empathetic, active listener, goal-oriented, able to give and receive feedback, and able to motivate others to achieve HammondCare’s mission in action.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to work in an operational environment that requires high attention to detail.
  • Effective key stakeholder management.
  • Strong administrative and computer skills, including database management and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to identify risks and make recommendations for change.
