Job Description

  • Join this high-profile Search Engine Marketing team responsible for driving the next wave of growth for the business.
  • Take an opportunity to scale your impact and diversify your career in a senior technical and strategic role.
  • 16 month fixed-term contract role based at our Head Office in Mascot

Qantas Loyalty is an integral part of the Qantas brand, with a vision to be the most valued and trusted Loyalty ecosystem that makes every day more rewarding. With a focus on rewarding loyalty and fostering lasting relationships, our business is dedicated to providing unparalleled value and benefits to our members. From earning points on flights, shopping and everyday purchases to enjoying exclusive perks and privileges, Qantas Loyalty is committed to delivering exceptional service and rewards. With a rich heritage and a forward-thinking approach, we continue to redefine loyalty in the aviation industry, setting the standard for excellence and innovation.

The Senior SEM Analyst plays an important role in the overall SEM channel strategy of businesses within Qantas Loyalty. You will be responsible for leading the development, creation, execution, and optimization of paid search campaigns across Google & Microsoft, specifically driving the performance of our high-profile Hotels and Holidays portfolios.

Reporting directly to the SEM Manager, you will move beyond just basic execution to determining channel strategy, drive financial and budget recommendations, and maximize total revenue, sales, and ROI metrics. As a senior analyst, you will act as a core subject matter expert, collaborate closely with a network of internal stakeholders (from Marketing and Finance to IT), and help mentor junior team members.

You’ll Have:

  • 4+ years of complex Search Engine Marketing experience (strategy + execution) with a proven track record of complete accountability for managing search-related marketing portfolios.
  • Expert platform knowledge, including deep hands-on mastery of search bid management tools (e.g., SA360), Google Analytics, and web tracking operations. Experience with Google Hotel Ads, Travel Promotions Ads and Travel Feeds in Search Ads is highly desirable.
  • Proven search marketing experience within an agency environment, in-house team or a hotel/hospitality brand (highly valued), with a deep understanding of paid search mechanics, competitor search strategies, and search engine platform innovations.
  • Advanced numerical literacy, with a high degree of competency in identifying data patterns and optimizing performance metrics such as ROAS and conversion rates.
  • Exceptional non-technical communication skills, with a proven ability to take highly complex search concepts, tracking frameworks, or performance data and translate them into stories and strategies that make sense to a broader, non-technical business audience.
