You’ll join the Digital and Enterprise Technology team, which brings together quality engineering, product leadership, and customer-centricity to drive innovation, growth, and continuous improvement. Collaboration with engineering, product, cyber, data, and delivery teams is central to our mission.

About the Role

The Senior Engineer will take a leading role in the development of our Products and Channels, designing, building and supporting the next generation of digital engagement. They will establish the technical solutions design for digital products and services across multiple domains at ASX establishing the technical design and full stack architectural patterns for data driven, modern, flexible, secure and highly resilient engagement points. They will be working together with a full stack team to enable the realisation of modern, sophisticated and simple digital experiences for our internal and external stakeholders.

Technical:

  • Lead technical aspects of ServiceNow solution delivery.

  • Develop, implement, and support the ASX ServiceNow ITSM, ATF, and ITOM platform.

  • Provide solutions for business problems and service improvement plans.

  • Automate workflows, maintain event rules, develop discovery/service mapping patterns, and manage platform improvements and integrations.

Support & Administration:

  • Provide ongoing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and incident/problem ticket management.

  • Manage platform changes/releases and respond to technical questions from ASX users/stakeholders.

  • Support CMDB, ITOM, and configuration manager to ensure quality CMDB data and alignment with CSDM.

  • Design and implement ITOM applications based on leading practices aligned with ASX vision and strategies.

System Administration:

  • Routine workflow configurations, event rule maintenance, service mapping maintenance/testing, system performance monitoring, and user access management.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Support major ServiceNow upgrades, patches, applications, and modules rollout.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the ASX ServiceNow platform, release methodology, and employee experience.

  • Identify areas for efficiency/effectiveness improvement and recommend solutions with pros, cons, and risks.

Incident & Change Management:

  • Raise ServiceNow “Now Support” incidents, changes, and support requests (e.g., bug/fix incidents, instance clone/upgrade requests).

Your experience and qualifications:

Must have:

  • Proven experience leading implementation, integration, and configuration of ServiceNow ITOM solutions.

  • Application development experience and ability to translate complex end-user requirements to system requirements/code.

  • System administration experience in UNIX and Windows environments.

  • Consulting on system credential requirements, troubleshooting permissions, and network connectivity.

  • Familiarity with industry-standard communication protocols (HTTP, TCP, SNMP, SOAP, REST).

  • Strong understanding and experience with ServiceNow platform (ITSM, ITOM, ATF).

  • Technical background in Operations, Infrastructure, Application Support, or Application Development.

  • Experience managing all phases of the application lifecycle (requirements, design, development, testing, deployment).

  • Effective communication with technical management, individuals, and teams.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer-centric attitude, and ability to work with cultural diversity.

  • Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices in JavaScript and ServiceNow development.

Nice to have:

  • ITIL certification.

  • ServiceNow System Administration Certification.

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Discovery and Service Mapping.

  • Experience implementing CSDM.

  • Experience implementing Event Management.

  • Understanding of financial markets and ASX services/systems.

  • Knowledge of enterprise IT governance and management.

  • Experience developing reusable test automation suites (especially ServiceNow ATF scripts).

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and consult, providing options with pros, cons, and risks, and thought leadership to sponsors/stakeholders.
