What will you be doing?
You will be designing, developing and maintaining data-centric applications using modern software development practices. You will be working in a Batch Processing, ETL environment, where the emphasis is on managing large volumes of data at scale and speed. Most of your software development will consist of a mix of .NET C# and T-SQL.
Responsibilities
- Convert user requirements into technical design specifications
- Develop and enhance applications using .NET C#
- Write unit tests
- Regularly document technical processes
- Work with database technologies such as MS SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS etc.
- Design and implement highly performant database queries
- Analyse and resolve complex technical design issues
- Work closely with the team and participate in code review
- Report risk and provide resolution
- Identify areas of improving system performance and availability
- Mentor other team members
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science/Technology preferred
- 4+ years of experience working in C# and .Net technologies
- 4+ years of experience working in database technologies including MS SQL Server and SSIS
- Experience working with Azure DevOps (GIT/TFVC)
- Experience working with Azure Service Fabric, NServiceBus, RabbitMQ would be an advantage
- Experience working in PostgreSQL, Python, Linux, Hadoop would be highly regarded
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Highly motivated, self-directed team player who will work closely with the team and provide support to
- internal customers
- A quick learner, who can rapidly acquire the business domain knowledge necessary to be a productive
- team member
- Ability to mentor less experienced software developers
