We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Sydney team.
This is not a feature-factory role. You’ll be working on real customer problems, building systems that deliver deliver meaningful outcomes through thoughtful engineering, strong design, and long-term thinking.
As part of a collaborative, high-performing team, you’ll contribute across the stack while also shaping technical decisions, architecture, and engineering practices.
This role reports to the Development Manager and does not have people management responsibilities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Design and build scalable, secure, production-grade applications and services.
- Develop across the stack using Java (Spring Boot) and React.
- Contribute to architecture, system design, and technical direction.
- Balance speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.
- Improve observability, performance, and system reliability.
- Collaborate closely with product and design to deliver meaningful outcomes.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
- Continuously improve tools, practices, and ways of working.
- Experience applying AI in production to solve real customer problems and deliver meaningful outcomes.
Your skills and experience
- Experience building modern SaaS or large-scale web applications
- Strong backend engineering skills (Java / Spring Boot)
- Frontend experience with React (or similar frameworks)
- Solid understanding of APIs, databases, and system design
- Experience with testing, CI/CD, and cloud environments (AWS preferred)
