Job Description

About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Optimizely at Bilue, you will be a key technical leader responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust, scalable digital solutions for our clients.

This role requires deep expertise in the Optimizely CMS ecosystem. You will apply your development craft to deliver complex, high-quality projects, ensuring best practices are upheld and acting as a technical mentor to the team.

Skills & Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain robust and scalable solutions using Optimizely CMS.

  • Connect Optimizely with third-party systems and APIs.

  • Work with stakeholders, designers and front-end developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Conduct code reviews, uphold best practices, and mentor junior developers.

  • Stay current with the latest Optimizely updates and technology trends.

  • Take a proactive, solution-focused approach to projects, questioning assumptions and identifying opportunities for innovation.

  • Build strong, trust-based client relationships, delivering with empathy, transparency, and care.

  • Work within a modern Agile delivery environment.

Qualifications

Technical Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in web development using C# and ASP.NET MVC.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Optimizely CMS (v11, v12, or SaaS).

  • Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and headless CMS approaches.

  • Experience with SQL Server, Entity Framework, and version control (Git).

  • Familiarity with cloud hosting (Azure, AWS) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps).

  • Drive best practices for testing, code quality, and performance optimisation.

  • Experience with Optimizely Graph, ODP, and Experimentation modules is a plus.

  • Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (Next, React, etc.).

Soft Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead technical discussions and guide development practices.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work in agile, cross-functional teams.

  • Effective communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills, able to build trust and collaborate in fast-paced, cross-functional teams
