Eftsure, is a fast-scaling SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) Fraud Technology platform that protects the B2B payments of Australian businesses by providing real-time vendor (supplier) verification and real-time payment protection. In a world of explosive and evolving cybercrime and payment fraud we ensure our customers never pay the wrong people!

Our vision is to be the Security Standard for B2B payments with continual platform evolution and international expansion. Our mission is to support the Australian business community to transact securely. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team.

Role Summary

The Senior Software Engineer at Eftsure is a critical player in our product development process, bringing both deep technical expertise and emerging leadership abilities to the table. This role is centred on designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that meet the highest standards of efficiency and scalability. As a senior member of the team, you’ll not only be hands-on with code but also guide and mentor junior engineers, ensuring the team’s technical direction aligns with best practices and long-term project goals.

Your ability to solve complex technical challenges, coupled with your attention to detail, will drive the timely delivery of high-quality software projects. Moreover, your contributions will shape the future of Eftsure’s software engineering methodologies, fostering innovation and excellence.

As a valued member of the Eftsure team, your responsibilities will be to:

  • Drive Technical Excellence: Lead and mentor more junior engineers, empowering them to reach their full potential while ensuring that all development aligns with the highest technical standards and business objectives.

  • Architect and Develop Scalable Solutions: Take ownership of designing and implementing robust, scalable software systems that directly contribute to the efficiency and growth of our product offerings.

  • Collaborate for Impact: Work closely with cross-functional teams, onshore and offshore, to ensure that software solutions are not only delivered on time but also meet or exceed the expectations of all stakeholders, enhancing overall product value.

  • Elevate Code Quality: Conduct comprehensive code reviews and create technical documentation that ensures the longevity and maintainability of the codebase, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Innovate and Lead: Stay at the forefront of industry trends, researching, recommending, and integrating cutting-edge tools and technologies that drive innovation and provide a competitive advantage to the business.

  • Mastery of Technology: Demonstrated expertise in software development, with a deep understanding of relevant programming languages and patterns, development methodologies, and modern tools that can be utilised to deliver high-quality products.

  • Leadership with Impact: Proven ability to guide and inspire junior engineers, fostering a learning environment that promotes professional growth and aligns with the strategic goals of the business.

  • Problem Solver Extraordinaire: Exceptional problem-solving skills, capable of dissecting complex challenges, and providing innovative solutions that drive both immediate and long-term business success.

  • Architectural Vision: A strong grasp of software architecture principles, enabling you to design systems that are both flexible and scalable, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the business.

  • Effective Communicator: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and driving business outcomes.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 4 to 8 years of relevant professional experience as a software engineer.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is an advantage but not mandatory.

  • Relevant certifications showcasing advanced technical knowledge or specialization are highly regarded.

  • The tech stack we use includes: Java, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD using Github & Gitlab, .NET
