About the Role

The ANZ Rider team is responsible for driving consumer growth and shaping the future of Uber's mobility business in Australia and New Zealand. From accelerating adoption of our core products to identifying and scaling new growth opportunities, we combine strategic thinking, analytical rigour and operational excellence to deliver sustainable growth.

As a Senior Strategy & Operations Manager, you'll identify and size new opportunities, build compelling business cases, rally cross-functional teams and lead initiatives from strategy through to execution and scale.

This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, operations and entrepreneurship, and takes personal ownership of delivering outcomes, from the big decisions to the smallest operational details. You'll be equally comfortable influencing senior leaders and developing strategic recommendations as you are rolling up your sleeves to execute them.

What You’ll Do
  • Shape new growth opportunities: Identify, evaluate and prioritise opportunities to accelerate consumer growth, leveraging data, customer insights and business case modelling to inform investment decisions.
  • Own initiatives end-to-end: Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, from value proposition and customer segmentation through experimentation, campaign execution, launch and post-launch optimisation.
  • Mobilise cross-functional teams: Rally stakeholders across Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Policy and Operations around new opportunities, driving alignment and execution through influence rather than authority.
  • Turn strategy into action: Move seamlessly between building executive presentations and hands-on execution, whether writing SQL queries, configuring campaigns, launching CRM communications or troubleshooting operational blockers.
  • Influence product and investment priorities: Partner with global teams to advocate for ANZ market needs, shape product roadmaps and unlock resources for growth.
  • Drive commercial excellence: Define success metrics, evaluate investment trade-offs and optimise initiatives to deliver measurable, sustainable business impact.
What You’ll Bring
  • University degree in a quantitative field, such as Economics, Statistics, Finance, Business/Commerce, Social Science, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, technology or another fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and bias for action: Resourceful, adaptable and relentlessly hands-on, with the ability to operate independently, solve problems and make things happen without relying on others to execute.
  • Experience representing your company externally with partners, clients, or stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cross functional leadership: Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, rally teams around new ideas and drive outcomes without formal authority.
  • End-to-end GTM experience: Experience personally developing and executing growth strategies, experiments and customer-facing campaigns.
  • Commercial and product acumen: Strong customer intuition and experience building business cases, managing investments or owning commercial outcomes.
  • Executive communication: Ability to translate complex problems and data into clear, compelling narratives and recommendations.
  • AI and automation fluency: Comfortable leveraging AI tools and automation to accelerate analysis, streamline workflows and improve operational effectiveness.
