ING Australia are looking to hire a Senior Technical Analyst to join our Risk Intelligence team in Sydney.
As a Senior Technical Analyst, you will work in a team with other analysts, developers, senior stakeholders, and technology teams to design and deliver solutions that are robust, scalable, and aligned with ING’s global standards.
You will play a critical role in engineering, automating, and governing the data and analytics capabilities that support our Risk Intelligence environment.

What you’ll do

  • Risk Reporting: execution of BAU reporting including Integrative risk regulatory reporting (Pillar 3, ARF 112 & 113, ARF 110), providing technical requirements, ensuring controls are adequate across both line 1 and Line 2. Ensure Data quality input and outputs are per requirement
  • Risk Analytics: Help explore new data sources and provide analytical insights to the integrative risk team by building prototype reports which can later be productionized by Line 1 COO Risk/Data Tribe
  • Design, optimize, and harden ETL/ELT processes (performance, lineage, data quality, reconciliation, monitoring, alerting) with strong documentation
  • Execute Integrative risk owned tool kits across credit risk, Market risk and Operational risk as a key input to various stress testing, Risk forecasting and ICAAP processes.
  • Automate: identify opportunities to drive automation and digitisation of existing processes
  • Data governance: Data Governance for Key Integrative risk owned data and inputs to Integrative risk owned models.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all ING policies and complete mandatory training (e.g., risk management, information security, records management, model/report governance).
     

What were looking for

  • Advanced SQL and coding skills (Python or Java or similar).
  • Experience with databases and ETL platforms (SSIS, SAS).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role preferably within Finance (credit/ Market risk)
  • Degree qualification in Finance, statistics, mathematical or other related discipline.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
