As Senior Technical Operations Manager, SpringServe, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and scaling Magnite's SpringServe Streaming and Ad Server business across Australia and New Zealand. Based in Sydney, you will partner with premium publishers and demand partners to ensure seamless implementation, optimization, and performance of programmatic monetisation.
This is a hands-on, technically rigorous role at the intersection of ad serving, programmatic infrastructure, and commercial delivery. You'll be integral to complex streaming integrations, lead on troubleshooting of delivery and monetisation challenges, and collaborate cross-functionally to improve operational efficiency and platform effectiveness.
Success in this role requires a strong understanding of the programmatic ecosystem, sound analytical judgement, and the ability to translate technical detail into practical, revenue-driving solutions. In this role you will:
- Act as a primary technical point of contact for broadcasters and demand partners across Magnite’s SpringServe ad serving and programmatic platforms
- Lead and support end-to-end streaming integrations, including onboarding, SSAI/CSAI environments, VAST/VMAP validation, deal configuration, and structured post-launch QA.
- Provide clear technical guidance to clients, ensuring best-practice implementation and monetisation readiness
- Diagnose and resolve streaming delivery, latency, fill-rate, and buy-side issues, working in collaboration with Magnite’s Demand, Product, and Engineering teams
- Analyse ad calls, logs and delivery data to identify root causes and build well-documented, evidence-based engineering tickets
- Support optimisation initiatives to improve implementation quality, yield performance, and operational reliability
- Act as the technical point of contact for the Australia and New Zealand revenue team, identifying process improvements that enhance scalability and efficiency
- Develop and maintain internal reporting, documentation, automation tools, and workflow standards to support consistent execution
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing and training initiatives to uplift internal technical capability
We’re looking for someone with:
- 4+ yrs experience in ad tech, programmatic operations, or technical account management
- Strong understanding of the programmatic supply chain, including SSPs, DSPs, deal types, and auction mechanics
- Practical experience working with Server-Side or Client-Side Ad Insertion, VAST/VMAP, OpenRTB, or bidstream concepts
- Ability to analyse logs, delivery dat,a and technical documentation to isolate and articulate issues clearly
- Strong Excel skills; SQL or scripting experience (Python/JavaScript) advantageous
- Experience working with ad servers such as Google Ad Manager, SpringServe, or similar platforms
- An analytical, detail-oriented mindset, comfortable operating in a dynamic environment
- Strong communicator capable of explaining technical concepts to both technical and commercial stakeholders
- Proactive problem solver with a structured approach to troubleshooting
- The ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining high execution standards
