Job Description

About the role

Sydney Airport is where Australia meets the world. As our Senior Treasury Analyst, you'll join a high-performing Treasury team that plays a critical role in managing one of Australia's largest and most frequent corporate debt issuers, with exposure to a diversified funding portfolio of approximately $15 billion.

This is an opportunity to develop your treasury and broader finance expertise in a complex infrastructure environment, while working alongside experienced specialists across Treasury, Corporate Finance, Tax and Insurance teams. You'll gain exposure to a broad range of activities, with a focus on the day-to-day operation of the Treasury function, while partnering with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business to support Sydney Airport's long-term success.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to

  • Support the operation of Sydney Airport’s treasury function, including investing cash, paying interest, managing risk, and adhering to compliance obligations in a proactive, timely and accurate manner.
  • Contribute to the implementation of capital management strategies, including bank debt refinancings, bond issuance, and derivative execution, and the maintenance of treasury and accounting systems that capture capital management activity.
  • Assist in the preparation of board, investor, management and statutory reports.
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including banks, bond investors, rating agencies, lawyers and accountants.
  • Drive continuous improvement to ensure the treasury function remains highly organised, processes are highly efficient and deliverables are clear, concise and accurate.

About you

  • Degree-qualified in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline, with 3-5+ years' experience in treasury, corporate finance, investment banking or a related professional services environment.
  • Understanding of debt, equity, and derivative markets and instruments.
  • Knowledge of treasury accounting concepts and interrelationships.
  • Familiarity with debt documents and agreements, including key terms.
  • Advanced analytical capability, with experience building and maintaining complex spreadsheets and preparing presentations.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
  • Organisational skills combined with a proactive approach to meeting deadlines.
  • Problem-solving ability, with the confidence to self-start on tasks with minimal guidance.
  • Adaptability to thrive across a spectrum of back and middle-office treasury tasks, from routine activities requiring discipline through to periodic deal activity requiring urgency.
