Weekends: Saturday & Sunday
Work Setup: Remote (BYOD)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to join one of clients based in Australia working across branding, web, content, and digital marketing.

We're looking for someone who is genuinely creative, technically minded, and confident designing beyond conventional web experiences. You will work closely with both brand/creative designers and developers, acting as the bridge between creative concepts and technical execution.

You'll take projects from concept through to polished, interactive prototypes, while bringing strong UI/UX thinking, attention to detail, and a practical understanding of how designs are built.
Responsibilities

  • Design intuitive, high-quality user interfaces for web and mobile products
  • Translate briefs and product requirements into wireframes, flows, and high-fidelity designs
  • Build interactive prototypes that communicate behaviour, not just static screens
  • Apply strong grid systems, spacing, and layout discipline across every deliverable
  • Use AI tools to speed up exploration and rapid prototyping without sacrificing quality
  • Collaborate with developers to make sure designs are built faithfully
  • Present, explain, and defend your design decisions to colleagues, clients, and stakeholders
  • Help organise and structure design work so projects move smoothly across the team
Must-Have

  • 5+ years of professional experience in UI/UX, Product Design, Digital Design, or a similar senior role.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating excellent UI/UX skills and creative range, particularly across web experiences.
  • Strong proficiency in Figma, including interactive prototyping.
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX fundamentals, usability, information hierarchy, responsive design, and accessibility basics.
  • Strong visual design skills with a deliberate approach to grids, spacing, typography, and layout.
  • Proven experience working closely with developers or technical teams.
  • Ability to take a concept from rough idea through to polished digital experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English with the confidence to present and defend design decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
Good to Have

  • Experience creating non-traditional, experimental, immersive, or highly interactive websites.
  • Basic front-end development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Experience with UI animation, motion design, micro-interactions, or transitions.
  • Experience creating or working with 3D assets.
  • Experience with AI-driven design and creative workflows.
  • Experience designing for mobile applications
  • Experience designing e-commerce websites.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.

Remote Setup -This is a fully remote position.
You will need:

  • Your own computer capable of running Figma and design software smoothly.
  • Reliable, high-speed internet.
  • A professional working environment suitable for video calls and presentations.
  • Availability during the required AEST working hours.
  • Figma subscription will be provided. Candidates are responsible for their own Adobe Creative Suite licence.
