Life @ AP+:

We are one connected team in pursuit of one inspiring purpose – to unite people and technology to power better experiences. Each of us has a part to play in making that happen. You’ll be encouraged to bring your big ideas forward and make a difference through your work. Taking steps forward in your career whilst still having room for fun, friendships, and flexibility in your daily life.

We’re driven by our core values: lead with heart, learn for tomorrow and live our legacy. A purpose like ours takes the inspired impact of an incredible team. Ready to change the game? We’re ready to help you do it.

The Purpose:

As a ServiceNow Developer, you’ll help shape and evolve a platform that sits at the heart of how technology services are delivered across AP+.

This is an opportunity to do more than maintain ServiceNow. You’ll build and enhance applications, workflows, integrations and digital experiences that simplify how people work, automate manual processes and improve service delivery across a modern payments organisation.

Working with technology teams and business stakeholders, you’ll turn real business challenges into scalable ServiceNow solutions – from initial requirements and solution design through to development, integration, release and continuous improvement.

You’ll also have the opportunity to influence how we use the platform into the future, including identifying where automation and AI-enabled ServiceNow capabilities can create better experiences and more efficient ways of working.

Key outcomes the role will own

  • Build solutions that make a difference – design, develop and maintain ServiceNow applications, workflows, integrations and platform capabilities that deliver reliable, high-performing IT services.
  • Create a great platform experience – configure and optimise ServiceNow to improve performance, stability, usability and the experience of the people who rely on it.
  • Deliver change with confidence – take platform enhancements and releases through robust change, release and deployment practices while minimising operational risk.
  • Turn business needs into smart solutions – partner with stakeholders to understand and prioritise requirements, then translate them into practical and scalable ServiceNow solutions.
  • Build quality in from the start – ensure solutions meet security, governance, quality and operational readiness expectations before they go live.
  • Automate and simplify – identify opportunities to remove friction, streamline processes and use automation to make service delivery faster and easier.
  • Keep the platform performing – monitor platform health, investigate issues and implement sustainable solutions that improve resilience and service performance.
  • Help shape ServiceNow best practice – champion strong development practices across UX, accessibility, security and platform governance while contributing to the continued maturity of AP+’s ServiceNow capability.

Required experience to be successful in the role

We’re looking for a hands-on ServiceNow professional who enjoys solving complex problems, building quality solutions and seeing the impact of their work.

You’ll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience developing, configuring and supporting ServiceNow platform capabilities such as ITSM, ITOM, CSM, IRM, SIR, CSDM, EC and/or Source to Pay.
  • Hands-on experience across areas such as Playbooks, workflows, forms, catalogue items, UX design, integrations – including APIs and eBonding – and platform administration.
  • Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) and experience working within structured service delivery environments.
  • Experience delivering platform enhancements and releases using effective change, release and deployment practices.
  • The ability to take business and user requirements and turn them into practical, scalable technical solutions with a strong focus on usability and customer experience.
  • Good knowledge of ServiceNow configuration, integrations, platform performance and troubleshooting.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional technology and business teams across the software delivery lifecycle.
  • An understanding of user experience, accessibility, security and service acceptance, with a focus on delivering solutions that are fit for purpose and operationally ready.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline. ServiceNow Administrator/Developer and ITIL Foundation certifications are highly regarded.
  • Experience with ServiceNow AI capabilities is highly regarded, particularly where you’ve used AI to improve automation, productivity or the end-user experience.
