Job Description
The Project & Opportunity:
Prospect Pre-Treatment Plant, a vital infrastructure project aimed at safeguarding Sydney's water supply. The facility will ensure that residents across the city continue to receive safe, secure, and reliable drinking water, especially during periods of compromised water quality caused by storms, droughts, or bushfires.
For this project, we're currently looking for a Mechanical or Electrical Site Engineer to bolster our delivery team.
Key Responsibilities:
Keep management advised of all quality, schedule and budget variances in a timely manner.
Manage subordinate or other discipline resources to quality, schedule and budget requirements.
Shop drawing review and disposition.
Preparing project documents and reports.
Managing with the mechanical/electrical subcontractors about the contract, planning, cost, QC and HSE.
Creating and enforcing project quality plan.
Reporting safety, health and quality issues to management.
Required Skills and Competencies
You will have a tertiary education in Mechanical or Electrical engineering
You will have a solid foundation of site-based experience working on a range of mechanical and/or electrical packages.
Experience working on water projects (desirable)
An ability to understand design, problem solve, learn, adapt and continually challenge yourself
Well-developed communication skills and an ability to build and maintain relationships with a broad range of subcontractors, local authorities, internal staff and clients
