Job DescriptionAt TAL, technology underpins our promise to be there for customers when it matters most. As an SRE Platform Engineer, you play a critical role in safeguarding the reliability and resilience of the platforms that enable our teams to deliver with confidence, speed, and care. By shaping how our technology operates at scale, this role helps ensure TAL can respond in moments that truly count. It’s meaningful work that blends technical leadership with purpose supporting safer outcomes for customers, colleagues, and the broader community.
In this role you will:
- Ensure platform reliability at scale by leading enterprise CI/CD and SRE practices that enable confident, continuous delivery.
- Embed deployment safety by design to reduce change risk and protect customer and business outcomes.
- Strengthen observability and insight so teams can proactively detect issues and make data‑driven decisions.
- Automate platforms and pipelines to improve efficiency, consistency, and developer experience.
- Lead critical incident response to restore services quickly and drive lasting improvements.
- Influence and uplift teams by mentoring engineers and aligning stakeholders around reliability and resilience goals.
- Extensive experience in technology, with several years working in SRE or platform engineering roles in complex environments.
- Proven leadership of large‑scale CI/CD platforms, helping teams deliver software reliably and at pace.
- Strong hands‑on capability with modern CI/CD tooling, such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, or Argo CD.
- Solid understanding of safe deployment practices, enabling changes to be released with confidence and minimal risk.
- Practical experience with observability and telemetry, using monitoring tools to improve reliability and performance.
- Ability to lead through incidents and influence others, guiding teams through high‑impact issues and continuous improvement.
