The Social Coordinator is an entry-level opportunity sitting within Wavemaker's INFLUENCE® capability, a dedicated Social, Content and Influencer Marketing team built to help brands connect authentically with the audiences that matter most. Reporting to Social Managers and Directors, this role supports the day-to-day management of social channels across multiple client accounts, spanning content publishing, community management and performance reporting. The Social Coordinator is a key part of keeping always-on content running smoothly and ensuring clients' brands show up consistently and compellingly across platforms in Australia. Success in this role looks like sharp attention to detail, a genuine enthusiasm for social platforms and culture, and a proactive attitude toward learning and contributing as part of a collaborative team.

Role context:

This role works across multiple client accounts simultaneously, supporting Social Managers and Directors with both campaign activity and business-as-usual content delivery.

Responsibilities span content scheduling and publishing, community management, quality assurance, and performance reporting across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTot and LinkedIn.

The Social Coordinator collaborates with creative, media and strategy teams to support integrated output and maintain consistent, on-brand execution across all channels.

This is a strong entry point for someone building a career in social media, with broad exposure to clients, platforms and social disciplines within a globally connected agency network.

What You'll Bring:

Up to one year of experience in social media, marketing, communications or a related field, including internships and university placements.

A solid working knowledge of major social platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn, and an understanding of how each platform differs in tone, format and audience behaviour.

Strong written communication skills with a sharp eye for detail across copy, asset checks and quality assurance prior to publishing.

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines across client accounts without dropping the ball.

A proactive and curious mindset, with a genuine interest in contributing to a fast-moving team and growing your skills on the job.

A real passion for internet culture, platform trends and social-first thinking that shows up in your day-to-day work and reactive content ideas.

A collaborative approach to working across disciplines, including creative, strategy and media teams.

Bonus Points If You Have:

Hands-on experience with social publishing or listening tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite or Meta Business Suite.

A basic understanding of social analytics and confidence interpreting what the numbers are telling you.

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut or other content creation software.
