- Create and adapt engaging content (copy, visuals and basic video) tailored to different platforms and audiences.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, tone of voice and accessibility standards.
- Monitor and manage social media communities, responding to comments, messages and enquiries in a timely and appropriate way.
- Moderate conversations to maintain safe and respectful online environments, applying agreed guidelines and standards.
- Track audience sentiment and identify emerging issues, escalating risks or sensitive matters as needed.
- Monitor and report on social media performance, providing insights and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure governance and consistency across channels, applying social media guidelines and supporting best practice across the organisation.
Requirements for success
- Demonstrated experience in social media or digital communications (3–5+ years).
- Strong written communication skills with high attention to detail and ability to craft engaging, on-brand content.
- Proven ability in community management, including responding to enquiries and moderating conversations.
- Sound judgement and professionalism when engaging publicly, especially in sensitive or complex situations.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration skills, with experience working alongside content, media or communications teams.
- Ability to interpret performance data, using insights to optimise content and improve results.
