The Role

You will own integration features end to end, from partner API discovery and mapping design through to production release and post-release monitoring. This is a hands-on engineering role with real surface area: our integrations sit directly in the client's daily workflow, so correctness, observability and backwards compatibility matter more than raw speed of delivery.

About you

You’re a Software Engineer who likes to understand the bigger picture before jumping into a solution. You can confidently navigate an unfamiliar codebase, quickly understand what’s there, and identify what’s missing or could be improved. You communicate clearly and write for the reader, whether that’s through PRs, RCAs or design notes that help distributed teams move forward without needing a meeting. You’re comfortable working independently, taking ownership of issues across regions and time zones, while knowing when to escalate early and bring others in.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Building and extending partner integrations across the ingress and egress pipelines.

• Partner authentication flows, OAuth 2.0, SAML SSO, JWT and the token handling that sits behind them.

• Data mapping between InfoTrack's domain model and partner schemas, including the matter and file picker experiences.

• Event-driven workflows: publishing and consuming domain events, handling ordering and idempotency.

• Agentic and MCP-assisted ordering workflows, exposing integration capabilities as tools an AI agent can safely call.

• Production ownership: tracing failures through distributed services, writing the RCA, and making sure the next occurrence is caught by a monitor instead of a client.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• 3 to 5 years' experience building production backend services, with strong commercial C# / .NET expertise.
• Proven experience integrating with third-party APIs, particularly where the engineer needed to work around external limitations and constraints.
• Solid understanding of REST API design, versioning, and authentication mechanisms including OAuth 2.0, SSO, and token-based authentication.
• Experience working with relational databases and ORMs, along with exposure to message queues or event-driven architectures.
• Experience working in cloud-based, containerised environments with automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Day-to-day use of AI coding assistants and a thoughtful understanding of their strengths, limitations, and appropriate use cases.
• Strong written communication skills. Our team operates across four time zones, and many decisions are made asynchronously through written communication.
