Why this is an exciting opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to design and deliver secure, scalable and modern technology solutions in a regulated financial services environment.
You will partner with Product, Engineering and senior stakeholders to shape architecture, guide delivery and uplift platform maturity.
What you’ll be doing
Lead end-to-end solution architecture for complex initiatives and platform modernisation
Produce clear architecture artefacts including solution designs, ADRs and diagrams
Design cloud-native solutions on AWS and/or GCP with strong security and cost awareness
Apply modern patterns such as microservices, API-first and event-driven architectures
Ensure solutions meet security, compliance and regulatory requirements
Contribute to data, analytics and responsible AI design
Support delivery in agile and scaled agile environments
Contribute to enterprise architecture standards and guardrails
What you bring
You don’t need to tick every box, but experience in the below will set you up for success.
Experience & Skills
Extensive experience designing and delivering enterprise technology solutions
Strong hands-on architectural experience across applications, data, security and cloud
Proven experience with AWS and/or GCP cloud-native services
Experience with microservices, APIs and event-driven architectures
Solid understanding of identity and access management including OAuth 2.0 and OIDC
Strong understanding of security, compliance and regulatory requirements in financial services
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to senior stakeholders
Experience working in Agile or SAFe delivery environments
Experience with platform or application modernisation programmes
Strong background in data platforms, analytics and data governance
Experience applying AI responsibly in regulated environments
AWS and/or GCP Architect certification
TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification
FinOps or relevant security or data certifications
