The Solutions Architect ensures architectural integrity and consistency in supporting Coates Technologies Roadmap. This role will work with wider engineering team and design and implement systems to address business challenges whilst aligning with the overall IT strategy.

Individual Accountabilities

  • Ensure that the solution aligns with the organization’s technology strategy and long-term goals.​
  • Consider future needs and scalability when designing solutions to accommodate growth and changes​
  • Understand the product strategy for key customers to ensure the solution supports the achievements of the objectives​​
  • Develop high-level designs and architectural blueprints that outline how the solution will address business needs.​
  • Choose appropriate technologies, tools, and platforms that fit the solution’s requirements and constraints.​
  • Create comprehensive documentation that includes architectural diagrams, design specifications, and integration guides​
  • Plan how the solution will integrate with existing systems, data sources, and platforms.​​
  • Provide direction and support to development teams to ensure that the solution is built according to the design specifications.​
  • Ensure that the implementation adheres to architectural standards and best practices.​​
  • Ensure that the solution complies with relevant regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies.​
  • Integrate security best practices into the design to protect data and maintain system integrity.​
  • Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the solution.​
  • Develop strategies to mitigate these risks and address any issues that arise during development and implementation.​​
  • Assess the performance of the implemented solution and identify areas for optimization.​
  • Gather feedback from users and stakeholders to make necessary improvements and refinements.​
  • Collaborate with various teams, including developers, engineers, project managers, and business analysts, to ensure cohesive and effective solution delivery.​
  • Work with third-party vendors to integrate their solutions or services into the overall architecture.​
  • Clearly communicate solution designs, architecture, and rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.​
  • Creation of a knowledge sharing environment for the engineering practices around standards, technologies etc.​
  • Regularly update stakeholders on the progress, challenges, and status of the solution.
