Vopak helps the world flow forward. We store the energy of today and tomorrow. But behind our impressive terminals and tanks, it is our people who make the difference. Guided by our culture of Trust, Collaboration, and Courage, we focus on creating an impact that brings the opportunity to grow and to make a real difference. As the Senior Sourcing & Procurement Specialist you will play a key role in realizing our ambitions while building both the future of Vopak and your own.

Your Mission

Vopak Terminals Australia is seeking a hands-on, commercially astute Senior Sourcing & Procurement Specialist. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will bridge strategic category planning with operational execution across assigned product lines and services. You will own the end-to-end competitive sourcing lifecycle, run RFPs/RFQs, modernize contract frameworks, and drive purchase-to-pay (P2P) workflow efficiencies.

What will you be doing?

  • Strategic Sourcing & Tendering: Lead end-to-end RFPs/RFQs, analyze market cost drivers, optimize Scopes of Work (SOW) with engineering teams, and present data-driven business cases to tender boards.

  • Contract & Commercial Management: Transition historical deals into standardized Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Scopes of Services (SoS) while embedding mandatory site safety, environmental regulations, corporate ESG, and Modern Slavery clauses.

  • P2P Operational Excellence: Act as the Oracle P2P Subject Matter Expert, design annual Blanket Purchase Orders (BPOs), and partner with regional Accounts Payable teams to resolve invoice mismatches and capture early-payment discounts.

  • Supplier Performance & Resilience: Enforce SLAs through data-driven KPI scorecards and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), manage vendor escalations, and build robust backup contractor networks to eliminate single-source risks.

  • Governance & Risk: Direct supplier qualification programs, maintain an audit-ready centralised digital filing system (>85% target), and conduct monthly site safety observation rounds.

Why you’ll love working with us?

We believe in taking care of the people who keep our terminals safe. When you join our team, you'll enjoy a culture that values reward, lifestyle, and team connection.

Financial Flexibility: Access to Novated Leasing packages to maximize your take-home value.

Health & Wellbeing: Full access to our comprehensive Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your family.

Social & Team Culture: A truly innovative and fun environment featuring regular team lunches, a highly collaborative atmosphere, and social milestone celebrations.

Growth & Progression: Professional Development and training programs to continuously stretch your technical toolkit.

Workplace Balance: Enjoy a highly stable workweek that respects your lifestyle inside and outside the gate.

Does this sound like you?

Experience: 4 to 6 years of overall procurement, sourcing, and logistics experience, with at least 2 years coordinating project deliverables or cross-functional vendor interfaces.

Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. CIPS Level 4+ accreditation is highly regarded.

Technical Mastery: SME-level proficiency in Oracle P2P enterprise tools, advanced spend analytics (Pareto 80/20 analysis), and contract drafting (MSAs/SLAs).

Core Competencies: Strong commercial negotiation tactics, cross-functional collaboration, uncompromising integrity, and a proactive approach to supplier accountability and site safety.

What energy will you bring? We’d love to meet you!
