Due to our sustained organisational growth, we are currently seeking an early career spatial analyst to join our Biodiversity Team.
You will be responsible and accountable for:
- Contribute to the delivery of projects using remote sensing and other spatial analysis techniques
- Work within a broad, interdisciplinary team to assist in delivering products such as remote sensing assessments, habitat mapping and modelling, and other technical spatial services as required
- Assist in interpreting remote sensing and other geospatial outputs in an environmental context and provide inputs into reports.

- Minimum of 2 years relevant professional experience in remote sensing
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Remote Sensing / GIS / Spatial Sciences / Surveying
- A multi-disciplinary approach to collaboration, and flexibility/willingness to work across multiple sectors
- Exceptional teamwork and relationship building skills
- Ability to thrive in fast paced consulting environment
Mandatory Requirements:
- Demonstrated commercial experience in optical remote sensing analysis and interpretation for environmental applications
- High level of proficiency using the ESRI ArcPro
- Proficiency with QGIS
- A background in environmental sciences and/or ecology
- Strong report writing skills
Desired:
- Preferred location for position is Brisbane, but other locations may be considered for the right candidate
- Experience with both active and passive remote sensing approaches
- Experience mapping and monitoring vegetation using remote sensing at various spatial scales
- Experience with ArcGIS Online and Field Maps
- Professional experience working in carbon sequestration, mine rehabilitation, approvals, and/or renewables
- Exposure to Python and/or R for analysis and process automation
