The Opportunity

Hammond Care’s Social clubs provide a social environment where Older people can take a break from their home environment, connect with their Community and spend a day socialising while being supported by our talented team of Specialised Carers.

  • Available shifts: Monday , Tuesday and Thursday  8.30am to 3.30pm
  • Hourly Rates: $32.91 to $36.50- P/H + super
Responsibilities
  • This opportunity delivers care within our Bungaribee - Paperbark Social Club in Blacktown.

  • Our Specialised Carers provide care in the Social Club that offer socialisation and supervision, according to each client’s care plan.

  • The Club provides organised activities and events for Clients to enjoy, including social outings and excursions for People living with dementia.

  • In some cases, you’ll have an opportunity to go offsite and provide care and supervision for our Clients, and this would mean having the capacity to drive a 12-Seater Bus (standard drivers license) or your own car .

What do you need to apply?
  • No formal qualification is necessary, however, Certificate III Individual Support is an advantage

  • Australian Drivers license and Car

  • First Aid certificate desirable

  • Working With Children Check

  • Empathy and compassion are a must

  • We provide job training as long as you have the willingness and desire to learn

  • Good administrative and computer skills, including the use of a smartphone

  • A strong team player, who can communicate professionally changes in care, complete all documentation, whilst maintaining confidentiality.​

  • Must have Australian work rights to be eligible for this position
