About the role 

This role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne. 

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Strategic Account Manager to drive growth, build strong partnerships, and help shape what’s next in energy in Australia. 

In this role, you’ll build strong, long-term relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders, while identifying opportunities to grow our business and deliver meaningful outcomes. You’ll act as the voice of the customer, ensuring their needs are understood and reflected in how we plan and deliver our services.  

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, networks, and partners, supporting long-term growth 
  • Develop and execute account plans that drive revenue growth and customer value 
  • Identify new business opportunities for growth across existing and prospective customers 
  • Lead and support commercial activities, including bids, negotiations, and contract management 
  • Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring insights shape planning, prioritisation, and delivery 
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities to enhance products and services 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer outcomes and service delivery 
  • Provide clear pipeline reporting and performance insights to support business planning 

What we’re looking for  

We’re looking for someone who combines strong relationship-building skills with commercial thinking with a focus on growth. You will ideally might bring: 

  • Experience in sales, account management, or business development roles 
  • Strong ability to build and manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders 
  • A customer-first mindset, with the ability to understand needs and create value 
  • Commercial acumen, including experience with negotiation and contract conversations 
  • A proactive and growth-focused approach, with the ability to identify and act on opportunities 
  • Strong communication and influencing skills 
  • Experience or interest in the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sector (not essential)
