Strategic Accounts Associate

We welcome applications from candidates based in different states, with a preference for Sydney or Brisbane. Our team typically works from the CBD office three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home two days per week.
We are looking for an Associate to join the Retirement Strategy & Partnerships team. The role sits within Challenger’s Retail Life Distribution function, which focuses on building and maintaining relationships with financial advisers and intermediaries.
The role reports into the National Strategy & Relationships Manager and supports the delivery of sales strategy – expanding our reach and driving business growth. In addition, the role supports ongoing Strategic Account activities and works closely with the Head of Platform Partnerships.
Responsibilities include:
Support the planning and execution of events and campaigns that strengthen relationships with key strategic accounts.
Be the connector for national roadshows and key events, ensuring smooth coordination across teams and stakeholder groups.
Contribute to go-to-market efforts by coordinating campaigns, setting account priorities, and supporting product development.
Help shape and support the national distribution strategy, including partnerships and strategic account planning.
Play a key role in managing business-critical projects and initiatives across Retirement Distribution and Platform Partnerships.
Assist in developing quarterly plans and support national strategic goals.
Work closely with platform providers to deliver joint initiatives and integrate partnerships into broader business strategies.
Skills required:
A strong background in the financial services industry, ideally in roles such as account management, client services, sales, or marketing—where you've successfully driven positive outcomes for clients and business growth.
Exceptional attention to detail and a genuine passion for delivering best-in-class service that strengthens client relationships and builds trust.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects, while fostering strong, collaborative relationships with both internal teams and external partners.
Proven ability to manage and support multiple projects whilst maintaining strong stakeholder relationships both internally and externally
Confident using tools like MS Excel, MS Teams, and Salesforce to analyse, communicate, and track performance effectively.
RG146 compliance is preferred, reflecting your commitment to industry standards.
