Position Summary/Objectives of Incumbent:
The Manager of Strategy, ANZ, will lead the development and execution of Vertiv ANZ’s Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy, driving strategic planning, organisational alignment, and growth initiatives to enhance market leadership and deliver sustainable business growth. The role is responsible for shaping the strategic agenda, assessing market and investment opportunities, leading high-impact strategic projects, and ensuring alignment with regional and corporate priorities.

The manager will work closely with the ANZ Leadership Team, especially Country Head – ANZ, Regional Strategy, and Global Strategy counterparts to support GTM effectiveness, growth acceleration, and long-term strategic positioning. The role includes leading partnership strategy, identifying and evaluating potential partners, and managing partnership projects end-to-end.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead GTM Strategy: Support and lead the development and execution of the Vertiv ANZ Go-to-Market strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regional priorities.
  • Drive Growth Initiatives: Lead both organic and inorganic growth initiatives to accelerate business expansion across ANZ.
  • Own Strategic Initiatives: Take strategic initiatives from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and measurable outcomes.
  • Present to Leadership: Deliver findings, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership to inform decision-making.
  • Lead Partnership Strategy: Assist in Developing and leading partnership strategy and projects, identifying and evaluating potential partners.
  • Manage Partnership Development: Manage partnership development end-to-end, from identification through to execution and ongoing management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with ANZ Leadership, Regional Strategy, and Global Strategy teams to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Business Reviews: Prepare and lead Quarterly Business Reviews, Monthly Business Reviews, and strategy reviews.
  • Market Intelligence: Lead market intelligence efforts, conducting market and competitive analysis to inform strategic direction.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance strategic effectiveness.
  • Track & Report Progress: Track and report progress of strategic initiatives, ensuring visibility and accountability.

Specialist Knowledge:

  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in strategy, consulting, or related fields
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Power BI preferred
  • Expertise in creating executive-level PowerPoint presentations and written content

Practical Experience: 

  • Strategy development and execution
  • Market and competitive analysis
  • Partnership development and management
  • Business case development and presentation to senior leadership
  • Cross-functional collaboration in a matrixed environment

Education/Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree required (MBA preferred)
  • Finance degree is a plus
