About Ofload and Our Mission

FreightTech is one of the most exciting spaces to be in right now, with the opportunity to transform one of the largest industries. Freight in Australia is a $76 billion market, yet it is analogue and has many inefficiencies: 30% of the time, trucks drive empty. Networks lack transparency, data flows are fragmented, and smaller transport operators face barriers to competing with the big players.

At Ofload, we’re changing how the freight industry operates and bringing it into the digital world. We leverage technology, data, and strategic partnerships to connect a growing roster of blue-chip customers with smaller, highly efficient transport operators. By reducing empty truck miles, improving visibility, and optimising supply chains, we’re driving smarter, greener, and more efficient operations that benefit businesses and the environment. As a certified B Corp, we're held to the highest standards of social and environmental performance — and we actively work to keep earning that certification, every three years.

This is more than just logistics - it’s FreightTech: a tech-powered transformation of an industry that is the backbone of the economy and touches everyone’s lives.

Why Join Ofload?

Joining Ofload means being part of a high-growth scaleup. It means working alongside motivated, ambitious individuals who are passionate about disrupting the status quo and making a real impact. Our team thrives on challenges, values direct and honest feedback, and is committed to growing together.

We’ve raised over $100M in funding from some of the world's top investors—backers of companies like Canva, Revolut, and HelloFresh. Along the way, we’ve been recognised for our innovation and culture:

  • Ranked #1: Deloitte Climate and Sustainability Award 2024 for our pioneering Carbon Analytics Platform
  • Ranked #2: AFR BOSS Best Places to Work 2024 in Transport and Construction
  • Recognised in AFR BOSS Fast100 List 2025 with second highest revenue
  • Recognised in Deloitte Fast50 3 consecutive years
  • Recognised in AFR FastStarters 3 consecutive years

At Ofload, we combine the agility of a tech startup with the impact of tackling a massive, real-world problem. If you’re ready to be part of an ambitious team reshaping the freight future, we want to hear from you.

The role:

Ofload is scaling fast — and we need someone who can keep up. As Strategy Manager, you’ll work directly with our CEO and Leadership Team on the things that matter most: active M&A workstreams, high-stakes strategic projects, and the operating rhythm that keeps the business moving. This isn’t a slide-deck-and-debrief role. You’ll own workstreams end-to-end, surface risks before they land, and make sure nothing important falls between the cracks.

You’re the glue. The person who knows what’s moving, who needs to be in the room, and how to get a decision made without creating noise around it.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Running M&A workstreams with multiple threads in flight at once
  • Leading strategic projects, coordinating multiple workstreams, stakeholders and milestones to keep initiatives on track and deliver successful outcomes
  • Maintaining the fundraising data room and coordinating with external advisors to keep materials tight and timelines on track
  • Picking up cross-functional strategic projects outside the normal BAU cadence and bringing structure and resolution
  • Owning the LT operating rhythm — OKRs, business reviews, meeting cadence — so leadership’s time is spent on the right things
  • Preparing board packs, investor updates, and materials for strategic reviews that are clear, accurate, and don’t need a rescue the night before
  • Building financial models and business cases that are decision-relevant, not just comprehensive
  • Acting as an extension of the CEO — connecting the right people, keeping priorities moving, and managing information flow with discretion
  • Contributing to culture and connection — town halls, leadership forums, and offsites — in partnership with the P&C team

About you:

  • 4–8 years in strategy, consulting, investment banking, corporate development, or BizOps — ideally with some exposure to M&A
  • Project management skills to drive projects through to successful delivery.
  • You’ve worked directly with founders or senior leaders and know how to operate in their orbit
  • Product management skills or experience desirable, with strong prioritisation and cross-functional delivery capabilities.
  • Strong commercial and financial judgement — you know what makes or breaks a deal, not just how to build the model
  • Excellent written and visual communication — you turn complex information into a clear one-pager or board slide, pitched right for the audience
  • Highly organised with a bias for follow-through — deadlines hold, numbers tie out, you own the final 10%
  • Natural connector — you build relationships across teams and levels, people bring you in early, and you know how to get the right people into a room to make a decision
  • Low ego, high impact — you’re energised by making others successful and comfortable working behind the scenes
  • Freight, logistics or marketplace experience is a bonus, not a must

At Ofload we prioritise impact, aptitude and passion, so we’d encourage you to apply if you do not meet all the above criteria. When you apply, please let us know of any reasonable adjustments you may need during the interview process.

More than a job! We look after you through:

  • Flexibility and Wellbeing: Balance your life with hybrid work arrangements, including remote work options and additional leave for volunteering, celebrations, and personal milestones.
