The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically minded Sustainability Analyst to join our Sustainability team based in Parramatta, NSW.
Reporting to the Senior Sustainability Reporting Lead, you will play a critical role in collecting, validating and analysing sustainability data across the organisation. You will support regulatory reporting obligations, climate-related disclosures, greenhouse gas emissions reporting, and broader ESG reporting requirements while collaborating with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Procurement, HR, Risk and IT.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, validate and reconcile sustainability data across energy, fuel, production, procurement, logistics, HR, finance and operational systems.
  • Support Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions reporting, including data extraction, emissions calculations, variance analysis and preparation of supporting evidence.
  • Assist with ASRS/AASB S2 climate-related disclosures, covering metrics and targets, governance, strategy, risk management and data reporting requirements.
  • Support Heidelberg Materials AG Group sustainability reporting submissions, including emissions, water, waste, nature and other ESG metrics.
  • Assist with National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER) campaigns and other mandatory internal and external reporting obligations.
  • Maintain reporting workpapers, data registers, methodologies, control documentation and audit-ready records.
  • Conduct data quality reviews, investigate anomalies and work with stakeholders to resolve data gaps and inconsistencies.
  • Prepare analytical reports, reconciliations, dashboards and reporting packs for internal stakeholders.
  • Support internal and external assurance activities, including evidence gathering, information requests and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to process improvements, automation opportunities and reporting standardisation projects.
  • Monitor emerging sustainability reporting standards, regulatory developments and industry best practice.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of sustainability data.
About You
You are a highly organised and analytical professional who enjoys working with complex datasets and translating information into meaningful insights. You possess strong attention to detail and a collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Accounting, Finance, Business, Data Analytics, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in sustainability reporting, ESG reporting, environmental reporting, finance, audit, compliance or data analysis.
  • Exposure to greenhouse gas accounting, NGER reporting, ASRS, TCFD, ISSB, AASB S2 or related sustainability reporting frameworks will be highly regarded.
  • Experience working with large datasets and reporting systems.
