Mon-Fri, 38 hours per week onsite in our Brisbane office.

Systems Engineer provides technical support to clients including remedial maintenance support on infrastructure, LAN and WAN networks and implementation of new technologies. This position works closely with other members of the Service Delivery team to ensure client environments are supported and maintained to required standards and SLAs are met.

Other key responsibilities include but may not be limited to following:

  • Provide remote and onsite technical support for client environments
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade hardware and network systems
  • Maintain system performance, reliability, and security
  • Work with clients to understand requirements and recommend solutions
  • Support project delivery through design documentation and technology selection
  • Monitor systems, manage incidents, and meet SLA requirements
  • Act as escalation support and assist junior team members
  • Liaise with vendors when needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and technical procedures
  • Continuously improve and automate processes
  • Stay updated on technologies through training and self-development
  • Handle administrative tasks (time tracking, reporting) and participate in on-call duties

Who we are looking for 

 Successful candidate must possess:

  • Must have 7+ years of systems engineering experience
  • Strong experience in network configuration and management (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Load Balancing)
  • Extensive experience Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Extensive experience with Virtualization Technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Strong Security: Firewalls, VPNs, Identity Management
  • Strong Scripting and Automation (PowerShell, python)
  • Extensive experience with Operating Systems (Linux, Windows Server)
  • Demonstrated Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking
  • Effective Communication, customer-focused mindset and great attention to detail
  • Time management, adaptability and flexibility
  • Collaboration and Teamwork
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience working within ITIL frameworks or ITIL-based service environments; certification or advanced expertise is a plus.
