About the role

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Sourcing Specialist to join our People team in Sydney.

The Talent team helps shape the future of Stake by finding exceptional people who raise the bar across the business. We partner closely with leaders to understand where the company is heading, what capabilities we'll need next and how to build talent pipelines before the market catches up. We care deeply about candidate quality, hiring experience and creating systems that scale.

This is a sourcing-first role focused on uncovering exceptional talent across engineering, customer success, operations, product and business functions. You'll spend your time identifying standout candidates, building meaningful talent pools and creating scalable sourcing systems that improve how we hire. You'll work closely with talent partners and hiring leaders to map markets, surface high-potential talent early and strengthen the quality of our pipelines.

We're particularly interested in someone who is excited by the future of talent acquisition. You'll help us experiment with AI-enabled workflows, rethink manual processes and build sourcing approaches that are faster, more personalised and more effective. We work hybrid spending 3 days in our beautiful, dog-friendly Sydney office.
We are open to remote candidates for this role.

What success looks like…
  • You consistently uncover exceptional talent that raises the bar across the business and earns the trust of hiring leaders
  • You've built high-quality talent pipelines across a range of technical and non-technical functions, improving both candidate quality and hiring velocity
  • You've developed a strong understanding of Stake's talent bar, operating model and competitive landscape, helping identify talent others might overlook
  • You've introduced sourcing workflows, automations or AI-enabled processes that improve efficiency, responsiveness and candidate experience
  • You provide valuable market insights, talent mapping and competitor intelligence that influence hiring decisions and workforce planning
  • Candidates describe their experience as thoughtful, engaging and human, regardless of whether they're successful in the process
  • You've helped the Talent team become more scalable, data-informed and effective through continuous improvement and experimentation
You'll thrive here if…
  • You genuinely love sourcing and have strong instincts for identifying exceptional talent across both obvious and non-obvious backgrounds
  • You're highly curious about AI, automation and emerging recruiting technologies and actively look for ways to improve how work gets done
  • You have strong judgement and can quickly calibrate on talent quality, transferable skills and hiring priorities
  • You communicate clearly, move quickly and build trust through responsiveness, follow-through and thoughtful collaboration
  • You're adaptable, coachable and comfortable operating in environments where priorities evolve quickly
  • You enjoy partnering closely with talent partners, hiring managers and teammates to solve hiring challenges together
Bonus if you've ever
  • Built sourcing automations or recruiting workflows using AI tools, no-code platforms or workflow automation software
  • Worked in a fast-moving startup, scaleup or high-growth technology company
  • Supported hiring across both technical and non-technical functions
  • Created talent maps, competitor research or market intelligence projects that influenced hiring strategy
  • Experimented with tools such as Claude, Zapier, Juicebox AI or similar productivity and sourcing platforms
So what happens next?

Once we've received your application, we'll give it the attention it deserves and if we think you’d be a good addition to our team, we’ll give you a call and from there, you'll cruise through our recruitment process.
