Recruitment at Stryker

At Stryker, we’re passionate about finding the right people to join our team. We take a strengths‑based approach, looking beyond experience to uncover a candidate’s talents, motivations, and potential.

We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist on a 6‑month contract to support our high‑volume hiring and sourcing efforts. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands‑on experience in recruitment and talent acquisition.

What you’ll do

  • Screen and assess candidates for high‑volume roles, ensuring we bring in the best talent

  • Proactively source hard‑to‑fill roles, using a variety of channels and creative sourcing strategies

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition Business Partners (TABPs) and hiring managers to deliver a seamless recruitment experience

  • Manage candidates through the recruitment lifecycle, keeping them engaged and ensuring a great experience

  • Maintain accurate data and reporting in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS)

  • Stay on top of market trends and sourcing best practices to continuously improve how we attract talent

What we’re looking for

  • A people person – you’re naturally curious about what motivates candidates and know how to engage them

  • A proactive sourcer – you don’t wait for applications; you go out and find the best talent

  • An adaptable multitasker – you can juggle multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment

  • A recruitment enthusiast – experience in talent acquisition (agency or in‑house) is a plus, but not essential

  • A tech‑savvy recruiter – experience using ATS, CRM, LinkedIn, SEEK, or similar platforms is preferred

What to expect from our recruitment process

As part of our recruitment process, the first step is a short online assessment. This is not a skills or technical test — there are no right or wrong answers. It helps us understand how you naturally work and what environments you’re most likely to thrive in. Candidates who progress will then be contacted for the next stage.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a global organisation and develop your recruitment skills. If you’re ready to make an impact, we’d love to hear from you!

What you need to know about the Sydney Tech Scene

From opera to comedy shows, the Sydney Opera House hosts more than 1,600 performances a year, yet its entertainment sector isn't the only one taking center stage. The city's tech sector has earned a reputation as one of the fastest-growing in the region.
