The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Technical Consultant to join our Perth or Sydney team. In this role, you’ll own the technical aspects of designing, configuring and implementing our Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions. Your primary focus will be configuring Objective solutions to meet client business requirements, working closely with Senior Technical Consultants, Business Consultants and Project Managers to deliver successful outcomes.
This role reports to the Regional Services Director and has no people management responsibilities.
A day in your role:
- Project Delivery - Deliver assigned technical tasks on time and within estimate across implementations, upgrades, migrations and integrations.
- Product installation and upgrades - Install, configure, test, certify and upgrade Objective software in customer environments, following agreed configuration and standards across platforms and databases.
- Data migration - Partner with the project team to define migration needs. Develop and test migration scripts and processes.
- Execute production migrations to ensure data is migrated accurately and completely.
- Integrations - Configure and test API and web services integrations with third-party applications in line with design specifications.
- Customisation - Develop and unit test customisations using the Objective SDK (where appropriate) to meet agreed specifications and support overall solution needs.
- Testing and support - Support end-to-end solution testing. Provide hands-on assistance through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Go Live.
- Ad-hoc customer support -Deliver onsite consulting services as needed to support customers with ongoing solution maintenance, including problem resolution, health checks, tuning and customisation.
- Objective methodology - Apply the Objective Methodology consistently and professionally across all project work.
- Best practice contributions - Help improve “the way we work at Objective Corporation” by contributing to best practice, methodology improvements, Communities of Practice, the Body of Knowledge, and reusable software components.
Your skills, experience and beyond:
- Demonstrated experience implementing technical solutions in customer or enterprise environments.
- Exposure to one or more programming languages such as C/C++, Java, or .NET.
- Knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server or Oracle.
- Experience administering Microsoft operating systems (e.g., Windows Server 2016/2019, Windows 10). Exposure to Unix (e.g., Solaris) is beneficial.
- A strong customer focus and confident communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
If you do not tick every box, do not let that stop you. We value potential, learning agility, and diverse perspectives just as much as experience, and we encourage you to apply.
At Objective, we recognise and celebrate our diverse team as pivotal to our strong employee engagement and our high-performing culture, underpinned by Our Values.
We are an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate based on any protected characteristics or on any other basis prohibited by applicable laws in the regions where we operate.
To ensure a positive experience, please inform our Talent Team of any adjustments or accommodations you may require during the recruitment process, so we can support you effectively.
