Let’s talk about the role:

We are seeking a dedicated Technical Writer to join us for a 12-month fixed term contract working on our Medical Device Regulations project. This role sits within the Labelling team in sydney and is responsible for ensuring our documentation is compliant with the regulations. We’re looking for someone who is driven, self-motivated, with a quality mindset—someone who picks up new skills quickly and isn’t afraid to take on challenging tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Learn ResMed quality procedures to develop, publish and release documents that upholds our best practice quality standards 
  • Create technical product documentation accurately and efficiently based on approved requirements 
  • Review content to ensure compliance to our processes, style guides and brand. 
  • Manage and plan your own work, escalate appropriately, and deliver within agreed timeframes 

Let’s talk about you:

To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrable experience working in a project-driven and detail-focused environment with tight delivery timeframes. 

You are driven and highly organised with an eye for detail. You are keen to learn, adaptable, thrive in team projects and have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). 

Required 

  • Business related tertiary qualifications in communications or equivalent experience. 

Preferred 

  • Previous technical writing and/or product labelling experience in a Medical Device, Electronics or other high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal, communication skills.
  • Experience in MS Word, JIRA, Confluence, Adobe InDesign, Acrobat
  • Project management – ability to track and report progress ensuring projects are delivered within agreed timeframes, keep stakeholders informed.
  • Experience in translation/localisation management.
  • Excellent proof reading skills, ability to understand the project scope and/or change.
