Company Description

JAS Auto Electrical Parts is Australia’s leading destination for auto electrical, battery and energy storage solutions. We support automotive, heavy‑duty, industrial and trade customers with specialist knowledge, trusted advice and premium products.

With a strong national network and deep local connections, JAS is known for being a practical, reliable partner for trade professionals, fleet operators and businesses that rely on vehicles and equipment to keep moving.

Job Description

We’re seeking a Territory Manager to join our JAS team in Cairns, servicing customers across Far North Queensland and surrounding regions.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building long‑term relationships in a regional market, has the confidence to work autonomously, and takes pride in being a trusted local contact for customers.

You’ll manage an established customer base while also identifying and developing new business opportunities across workshops, auto electricians, trade customers and fleet operators. Success in this role comes from consistency, credibility and strong local engagement, rather than high‑volume metro selling.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and grow sales across your assigned Cairns and regional FNQ territory
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with workshops, auto electricians and trade customers
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities through regular customer engagement
  • Prepare accurate quotes, negotiate pricing and close sales effectively
  • Monitor competitor activity and local market trends
  • Analyse customer sales data to identify growth opportunities
  • Represent JAS professionally as a long‑term partner in the local market

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in sales, account management or business development (automotive or trade environment preferred)
  • Strong relationship‑building skills and a genuine customer‑first mindset
  • Confidence working independently across a regional territory
  • Solid understanding of sales processes, quoting and negotiation
  • Ability to identify opportunities through customer insight and sales data
  • Technical knowledge of automotive or auto‑electrical products (advantageous, not essential)
  • A proactive, reliable and community‑focused approach

You don’t need to be a car expert or tick every box — we’re looking for someone who shares Bapcor’s values and enjoys being hands‑on, visible and dependable in the market.
