Job Description

About the role

This is a hand on opportunity to shape the quality and success of technology projects that support one of Australia's most complex and operationally critical environments. As Test Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring technology solutions are thoroughly tested, fit for purpose, and ready for business adoption before they go live. Working within our Project Assurance function, you'll provide independent quality oversight and trusted advice that helps project teams make informed delivery decisions.

Partnering with stakeholders across Technology, Operations, Planning, Commercial and corporate functions, you'll lead testing activities from strategy through to execution, while helping to mature testing practices across the wider Technology team. It's a role that combines technical credibility, stakeholder engagement and leadership, making it ideal for someone who enjoys influencing outcomes and driving quality across complex projects.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to

  • Lead the development and delivery of testing strategies, plans and governance activities across a broad portfolio of technology projects.
  • Manage end-to-end testing activities, including system, integration, regression and user acceptance testing, to ensure solutions meet business and operational requirements.
  • Partner with business, technology and vendor stakeholders to validate requirements, identify risks, manage defects and support successful project outcomes.
  • Provide clear reporting and evidence-based readiness assessments that support project governance and release decisions.
  • Build strong relationships across the organisation, acting as a trusted advisor and connector between business and technical teams.
  • Reform testing and provide business analyst support

About you

  • Demonstrated experience in Test Management, Quality Assurance or Test Analysis within large and complex technology environments.
  • Strong understanding of testing lifecycles, requirements traceability, governance frameworks and quality assurance practices.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute test strategies, plans and scripts while managing competing priorities across multiple projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A collaborative leadership style with experience coaching or supporting team members to achieve high-quality outcomes.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science or a related discipline. Exposure to operational technology, infrastructure or asset-intensive environments will be highly regarded.
