The Opportunity

Dexus’ scale across major CBDs and deep expertise in office portfolios positions us to respond to evolving customer needs and deliver superior returns for our partners.

Reporting to the General Manager – Transactions, the Transactions Manager – Office is an outstanding opportunity for a high-performing transaction professional to play a key role within one of Australia's leading real asset platforms.

In this hands-on role, you will lead complex acquisitions and divestments across the Office portfolio, taking ownership of transactions from origination through to execution. Working alongside respected industry leaders, you'll influence investment decisions, help shape portfolio strategy and gain exposure to some of the most significant office transactions in the Australian market.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a commercially minded transaction professional who enjoys being close to the detail, wants to do the doing, and is motivated by leading meaningful deals that deliver tangible outcomes and long-term value.

You will make an impact by:

  • Lead acquisitions and divestments from origination through to completion, managing all aspects of the transaction lifecycle and ensuring alignment with portfolio strategy and investment objectives.
  • Develop transaction strategies and provide commercial recommendations that optimise portfolio performance, identify value creation opportunities and support the growth of the Office platform.
  • Prepare high-quality investment papers, business cases, financial models and transaction analysis to support investment decision-making and stakeholder approvals.
  • Conduct detailed market, asset and competitor analysis to identify investment opportunities, assess risks and provide actionable insights to the business.
  • Project manage complex transaction processes, coordinating internal specialists and external advisors to deliver outcomes efficiently, on schedule and within budget.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, agents, consultants, advisors and internal stakeholders, leveraging your network to enhance deal flow and transaction outcomes.
  • Originate opportunities and contribute to a proactive transaction pipeline, continuously assessing market dynamics and emerging investment trends.
  • Contribute to a high-performing and collaborative team culture, while driving continuous improvement across transaction processes, tools and systems.

About You

You are a proven transaction professional with a track record of leading complex acquisitions and divestments from origination through to execution. Bringing strong experience in transactions, financial analysis and valuation, you combine commercial acumen with strong analytical capability to make informed investment decisions. You are a confident communicator who builds trusted relationships, influences stakeholders effectively, and thrives in a hands-on environment where ownership, initiative and execution matter.

You will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Property, Real Estate, Commerce, Business or a related discipline. CA, CFA, MBA or similar postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded.
  • Proven experience leading acquisitions, divestments or capital transactions within real estate, funds management, private equity, investment banking or a similar transaction-focused environment.
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation and investment analysis capability, with experience preparing investment recommendations and transaction papers.
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to identify opportunities, assess risks and make sound investment recommendations.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across investors, advisors and industry partners.
  • An analytical and strategic thinker who combines intellectual curiosity with a practical, execution-focused mindset.
  • Highly self-motivated and accountable, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative, adaptable and team-oriented, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and lead transactions end-to-end.
