Job Description

OFX is undergoing a major website transformation to better serve our B2B clients, and UX/UI design is a critical part of this journey. We’re looking for a skilled UX & UI Designer to optimize and elevate our website’s user experience, ensuring responsiveness, accessibility, and high engagement across all devices. You will play a key role in translating customer insights into intuitive and impactful design solutions that align with business goals.

This role is perfect for someone who can balance creativity with data-driven decision-making, leveraging design systems, user research, and iterative testing to improve the overall digital experience. You must have a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality website experiences.

What you do:

Primary - UI Design & Template Creation:

  • Develop, maintain, and evolve design systems, component libraries, and style guides to ensure consistency across the website.
  • Design and implement responsive UI templates and layouts aligned with company brand guidelines.
  • Produce detailed visual designs, wireframes, prototypes, and UI mock-ups for website enhancements.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure accurate implementation and to troubleshoot visual issues.
  • Stay informed about emerging UI trends and industry best practices, recommending improvements to maintain cutting-edge visual design standards.


Secondary - UX Optimisation:

  • Conduct foundational user research activities and usability testing to identify design improvement opportunities.
  • Analyse user behaviour through data tools to enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
  • Assist in creating user flows and journey maps to streamline website navigation and functionality.
  • Collaborate with SEO and analytics teams to implement user-friendly, SEO-optimised designs that drive conversions.
  • Translate user research insights into tangible UI/UX improvements and recommendations.
  • Actively participate in user feedback sessions to inform iterative website optimisation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of proven UI design experience, specifically within web-based environments.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional UI design capabilities and visual aesthetics.
  • Expert proficiency in design tools, notably Figma.
  • Solid understanding of responsive and accessible design practices.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with UX design methodologies and user-centric principles.
  • Experience working with and maintaining comprehensive design systems.

Preferred:

  • 1-2 years UX experience or formal UX training.
  • Demonstrated ability in senior stakeholder facilitation and management.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and awareness of how design impacts organic search performance.
  • Experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar).
  • Basic familiarity with Wordpress or foundational HTML/CSS knowledge.

Bonus:

  • Previous experience in Banking/Finance sectors.
