The Workplace Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of Rest’s commercial office facilities, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment for staff and visitors. This includes the coordination and management of large events. The Workplace Manager also manages the commercial lease obligations on behalf of Rest as the tenants in these offices.
Key responsibilities
- People leadership and development of the workplace coordinators
- Manage the relationship between Rest, building management in our offices and the landlord.
- Manage Rest’s office maintenance, repairs, and any upgrades as required.
- Oversee the cleaning arrangements for each commercial tenancy.
- Coordinate & manage vendors and service providers including facilities consultants, trades, plant & landscape maintenance, caterers, front of house support etc.
- Manage the commercial lease obligations for Rest
- Coordinate large events within Rest offices.
- Ensure the Rest offices meet health and safety regulations as prescribed by Rest’s work, health & safety policy.
- Manage facilities and office rental budgets.
- Oversee response to facilities-related requests from Rest staff.
- Support office moves or space reconfigurations as required.
- Maintain records of maintenance, inspections, and incidents across all Rest offices.
- Support the collation of information on our energy usage across all offices as part of our Sustainability disclosures
- Support the Senior Manager, Workplace, Security & Business Continuity with other business projects/initiatives from time to time.
- Work closely with the Manager, Physical Security Operations and Business Continuity to coordinate cross team activities and collaboration
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in facilities management, workplace services/workplace operations, or related commercial real estate roles.
- Proven track record of managing facilities service providers or front of house service providers.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging positively and effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment, be successful in a facilitative role and create a positive and professional business relationship with internal stakeholders and external third-party service providers
