The Role

As the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of our workshop operations. You will lead a team of skilled tradespeople, ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards, and maintain a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of tradespeople, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Plan, schedule, and allocate resources to meet project deadlines and client requirements.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and manage workshop budgets, costs, and inventory levels.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication and excellent service delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workshop performance and efficiency.
  • Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar Workshop Manager or leadership role, preferably in the industrial or engineering sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, or electrical systems (preferred but not essential).
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a focus on delivering results.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members.
  • A commitment to workplace health and safety practices.
  • Relevant trade qualifications or technical certifications (highly desirable).
