What It's Like to Work at GitLab

By fully embracing the values, GitLab has changed the way I work. I have become more productive and satisfied with the work I do, while also having a better work-life balance. It’s motivating to work somewhere so amazing with such great people.

I've never felt more supported or enabled in my design career. It's the brilliant people who work here that make all the difference. With full autonomy over my day, I can wake up excited to discover creative solutions to complex problems every day.

GitLab has been a radical perspective-changing experience for me. Most importantly, being part of a company that radically advocates the full-remote model has driven meaningful and life-lasting change to my personal and work life.

I didn’t think it was possible to start a family and grow my career. I found out two weeks after starting at GitLab that I was pregnant. During my pregnancy, I was able to make my own schedule to accommodate for doctors appointments and morning sickness. GitLab offers a very generous parental leave and has supported my transition back to work.

From starting a new role, to being promoted in that role twice now, GitLab has provided me with the resources and support I need to drive my own professional growth. One of the most inspiring things I discovered here is how genuinely team members want to help their colleagues succeed, and all you have to do is put in the work and ask for help.

We typically collaborate with the broader customer success team, sales teams & product teams to ensure that the customer is successful when partnering with us. We heavily rely on slack channels, docs, issues for async collaboration. We also initiate meetings at times when we are looking to resolve certain issues or brainstorm in a short time frame.
