About the Role

We have a new opportunity for a high calibre experienced AnalystFinance & Commercial - analyse and evaluate the financial and operational performance of business operations, with strong collaboration skill, analysing of transactions, and utilising data-driven insights to identify areas of improvement, optimize processes and provide accurate reporting. Partnering with location leadership to provide accurate reporting, forecasting and budgets. This role will directly support the commercial manager and play a critical role in working capital management and capital investment justification/preparation

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyse, and interpret data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. This includes financial data, operational metrics.
  • Assess the financial and operational performance of different business units, key clients, and initiatives against plan/key performance indicators (KPIs)/benchmarks. This evaluation helps identify areas of underperformance and areas for potential growth.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify process bottlenecks and inefficiencies. The BPA supports the CM and enables the execution overall commercial and finance strategy.
  • Prepare accurate and quality insight/commentary to communicate business performance to stakeholders. These reports highlight key performance metrics, trends, and in certain instances actionable recommendations to drive informed decision-making.
  • Utilise current and historical data including market trends to develop accurate forecasts, budgets and projections. This helps in strategic planning, resource allocation, and setting realistic performance targets.
  • Actively seek opportunities to enhance data collection methods, reporting tools, and analytical techniques. By staying updated with industry best practices, the BPA ensures that the organization remains at the forefront of business performance analysis.
  • Driving invoicing/Supplier processing and settlement discipline. The BPA has a complete view and understanding of working capital (unbilled/billed/PO) and is able to report on aging.
  • Support the preparation of capital investment requests, and provision of accurate data required by CM for tenders and opportunity pricing.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. Able to provide detailed insights into business operations
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using data visualization tools and creating impactful reports.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • CA or CPA qualified, or equivalent.
