About the role
As an Analytics Engineer, you’ll bridge the gap between raw data and trusted business insight. You’ll own curated data and reporting assets end-to-end — including Power BI semantic models, dbt pipelines, and Snowflake-based data marts.
This is a business-facing role, ideal for a former BI Developer or BI Engineer looking to apply data modelling skills to drive value at scale. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data is transformed with meaning, documented with clarity, and delivered with trust.
Job DescriptionBI & Semantic Model Delivery
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI semantic models that support governed self-service reporting
- Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to ensure consistent and trusted metrics
Data Modelling & Curation
- Build curated data layers that apply business logic and enable analytical insights and AI/ML use cases
- Use dbt to deliver modular, scalable, and testable data transformations in Snowflake
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with analysts, data scientists, product owners, and marketers to gather requirements and co-design solutions
- Act as a data translator — simplifying complexity for non-technical users while upholding technical integrity
Governance & Documentation
- Maintain and evolve documentation, metric definitions, and model catalogues
- Monitor and enhance data quality, trust, and reusability
- 3–5 years’ experience as a BI Developer, BI Engineer, or Analytics Engineer
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, DAX, and semantic layer development
- Proficiency in SQL, dbt, and Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
- Solid understanding of data modelling (dimensional/star schema) and business logic
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical data solutions
- Exposure to AI/ML pipelines or Marketing Cloud is a plus
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Slack (Atlassian suite)
