About the role:

As the Application Developer, you will design, build and enhance JCDecaux’s digital and business systems. You’ll architect solutions, write clean, well-structured code, and rigorously test and deploy new applications. Translating business requirements into scalable software, integrating systems seamlessly, and delivering measurable improvements in performance and reliability.

 

A Day in the Life:

Whilst there’s no typical day in the dynamic world of media, you can expect your role to involve the following:

  • Design, build and support web and mobile applications for JCDecaux’s digital and business systems
  • Develop, test and implement robust backend services using PHP (Laravel), NodeJS and related frameworks
  • Architect, optimise and maintain relational and non-relational databases to ensure performance, integrity and high availability
  • Develop and manage APIs and microservices, integrating disparate enterprise systems
  • Design and implement responsive, intuitive front-end user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Configure, maintain and support AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure secure, highly available environments
  • Develop, test and support dynamic creative content for JCDecaux’s digital network and large-scale campaigns
  • Implement and review security controls across applications and infrastructure; conduct secure code reviews
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver enhancements and resolve production issues
  • Conduct peer code reviews, refactor code and maintain technical documentation to continually improve software quality

 

About You:
To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven experience building and supporting web and/or mobile applications using PHP (Laravel), NodeJS and modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Strong skills in architecting and optimising relational and non-relational databases
  • Hands-on experience designing, building and consuming APIs and microservices
  • Practical experience working with AWS cloud infrastructure in a secure, enterprise environment
  • Rigorous approach to code quality, testing, observability and application security
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, high‑performing digital solutions
  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors
