Join Equifax as an Application Engineering Lead to redefine our software development lifecycle through the strategic integration of AI Tools and AI Agents. You will serve as the technical authority ensuring that AI-augmented delivery meets our rigorous standards for security and performance while mentoring the next generation of engineers. This is a pivotal opportunity to move beyond traditional coding and lead the transition toward high-level system design and AI orchestration.
What you will do
Design and manage the SDLC where AI agents handle routine tasks such as testing, documentation, and boilerplate code.
Establish strict AI Governance protocols to ensure all AI-generated code meets enterprise standards for security, performance, and maintainability.
Serve as the final authority on technical decisions and code quality within an AI-integrated environment.
Coach junior and mid-level engineers to evolve into "Code Critics," focusing on architectural oversight rather than just manual execution.
Drive strategic direction for functional areas to ensure the over-achievement of team goals.
Collaborate across teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.
Maintain deep fundamental knowledge within the team to ensure high-level design and complex logic remain robust.
Promote a culture of innovation by exploring new ways to enhance the customer experience through automated solutions.
Foster an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are heard and individual needs are met during technical transformations
What experience do you need
7+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior architectural role.
Advanced proficiency in Python and Java with a proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade applications.
Hands-on experience with AI Frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, or similar agentic frameworks.
Technical expertise in System Design.
Demonstrated mastery of Modern DevOps, including AI-integrated CI/CD pipelines and automated code auditing tools.
What could set you apart
Experience in "Player-Coach" roles, successfully mentoring engineers to transition from code authors to system designers.
Advanced knowledge of AI Governance, including the implementation of security protocols for Large Language Models (LLMs).
Background in financial services or matrixed organizations, managing complex stakeholder relationships and data-heavy environments.
Visionary thinking with the ability to turn big-picture AI goals into concrete, actionable steps for an engineering team
A willingness to drive AI usage, not just for personal productivity, but to transform how we work.
