We are looking for an Associate Legal Counsel to support our growing organisation by providing practical, commercially focused legal advice across a broad range of matters. Working closely with our General Counsel, you will play a key role in contract negotiations, corporate governance, compliance, dispute resolution, and legal operations while helping the business move forward with confidence.

What you'll be doing
  • Review, draft and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements including MSAs, SOWs, supplier agreements, contractor agreements and NDAs
  • Partner with Sales, Procurement, Delivery and Operations teams to provide practical legal advice and support commercial outcomes
  • Support corporate governance, compliance initiatives, policies and business-wide legal matters
  • Assist with legal risk management, dispute resolution and engagement with external legal advisers
  • Help maintain legal templates, playbooks, processes and knowledge resources to improve efficiency and scalability
  • Provide guidance on privacy, data protection, technology procurement and regulatory obligations
  • Work closely with the General Counsel on strategic business initiatives and legal projects

Requirements
  • Admission to practise law in Australia
  • Minimum 2+ years post-qualification experience in commercial, corporate or technology-focused legal practice
  • Experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Strong ability to balance legal risk with commercial outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • High integrity, sound judgement and a collaborative working style

Highly desirable:

  • Previous in-house legal experience
  • Exposure to technology, cybersecurity, managed services, SaaS or reseller environments
  • Experience supporting privacy, data protection or compliance initiatives
  • Exposure to corporate governance, legal operations or dispute resolution matters
