Profile Requirements:
- 2+ years proven experience as a bookkeeper or accounting clerk with strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for professional interaction with colleagues and clients.
- Knowledge of payroll processing, tax laws, and regulations for accounts payable and receivable.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to reconcile discrepancies independently.
Core responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Record financial transactions in accounting software or spreadsheets, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to validate transactions.
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers.
- Generate and issue invoices to clients, following up on outstanding payments for timely collections.
- Calculate and process employee payroll, including taxes and deductions, while maintaining compliance with regulations.
- Prepare financial reports and assist in budgeting activities to support management decision-making.
- Data entry and review, flagging inconsistencies and communicating with team members to ensure accuracy.
