About Wayflyer

Today's small businesses need a capital provider that keeps pace with their growth ambitions. Traditional financing options are slow, cumbersome and often out of reach. That's why we built Wayflyer.

Our technology allows us to assess businesses in minutes, generate financing offers that reflect their growth potential and send funds in as little as 24 hours. To date, we've deployed over $6bn to thousands of businesses worldwide, backed by Tier 1 banks like J.P. Morgan.

You'll be collaborating with ambitious colleagues from around the world. We have offices in Dublin, London, New York, Charlotte, Berlin and Sydney.

The challenge

We're growing our outbound pipeline fast, and Sydney needs a leader to shape where that growth goes next. You'll take our BDR team and sharpen it into a function that doesn't just hit quota, it changes how the sales org thinks about pipeline generation.

What you'll actually do

You'll lead our outbound BDR team in Sydney, setting the strategy that keeps us ahead of the competition and raises the bar on what the function can do. Day-to-day, that means:

  • Turning sales-qualified leads into real pipeline opportunities, consistently

  • Coaching your team until they can articulate our value proposition better than anyone else in the market

  • Keeping the team motivated and on track to exceed monthly targets

  • Acting as the connective tissue between BDR and AE units, so handoffs are seamless instead of a source of friction

  • Partnering with Enablement on onboarding and training, so new joiners ramp fast and stay sharp

  • Spotting opportunities to improve sales operations and working with executive leadership to act on them

What this role could turn into

This isn't a lane, it's a launchpad. As we grow into new markets, this role is a genuine route into senior sales leadership, more scope, bigger decisions, and a direct hand in shaping where the business goes next. How far you take it is up to you.

Who thrives here

You lead with people first. You know a target is only ever hit by a team that feels genuinely backed, so you bring the emotional intelligence to motivate, coach and keep your best people engaged, not just managed. You're analytical to your core, comfortable using data to make calls rather than relying on gut feel, but you never lose sight of the human on the other end of the decision. You've been in the trenches of a fast-paced startup or scale-up before, and you came out the other side wanting more of it, not less.

We hire for range

We're less interested in your years of experience and more interested in your trajectory. You've led outbound sales teams before and you've got the results to prove it, both as an individual contributor and as a manager. You've exceeded targets consistently, and you've got exposure to Solution Selling and/or MEDDICC. If your career so far has been a steady climb rather than a straight line, that's exactly the shape we're looking for.

What you need to know about the Sydney Tech Scene

From opera to comedy shows, the Sydney Opera House hosts more than 1,600 performances a year, yet its entertainment sector isn't the only one taking center stage. The city's tech sector has earned a reputation as one of the fastest-growing in the region.
