Job Description

  • Lead efficient business support for the Australasian Sales, Distribution and Modern Retailing team, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.  
  • Provide executive and operational support by managing priorities, enabling project delivery and supporting key business initiatives. 
  • Permanent position based at our Mascot Campus 

Qantas is in the middle of one of the most significant transformations in its commercial history. The way we sell, distribute and retail our product is changing, and the team leading that change needs someone who can keep everything moving. 

This is a pivotal support role at the centre of our Australasian Sales, Distribution and Modern Retailing function. You'll work directly with the Executive Manager and senior leadership team, helping to drive delivery across a broad portfolio that spans corporate and SME sales, NDC and modern retailing strategy, agency and OTA channels, and our Jetconnect New Zealand business. 

Your days will vary. You might be coordinating a cross-regional stakeholder engagement one morning and preparing executive-level documentation the next. You'll manage complex calendars, support global distribution projects, and help ensure the team operates with the pace and precision this kind of work demands. You'll also support corporate hospitality and event engagements, monitor expenses and business processes, and help us continuously improve how we work. 

To thrive here, you'll bring; 

  • five or more years of experience in executive support,  
  • experience in business coordination, or similar role, ideally in an aviation, travel, or commercial environment 
  • you're highly organised, discreet with sensitive information,  
  • confident preparing reports, presentations, and executive communications 
  • having strong Microsoft Office skills is essential, and  
  • experience with Salesforce and Power BI will give you a genuine head start
