Your opportunity

Join a brand-new Supported Temporary Accommodation service in Coffs Harbour and be part of something genuinely transformative. This is your chance to help shape an innovative, integrated model that is redefining how people experiencing homelessness are supported to find and sustain safe, stable housing.

As a Case Manager, you will play a hands-on role in supporting participants to set meaningful goals, build practical pathways forward, and achieve lasting housing and wellbeing outcomes. You’ll work alongside people at pivotal moments in their lives, helping them navigate challenges, connect with services, and move toward greater independence.

You’ll be part of a passionate multidisciplinary team, including Housing Pathways Specialists and Lived Experience Intake Workers, all working together to build a new service from the ground up and create real, lasting impact in the community.

We have two permanent full-time roles available, working a rotating fortnightly roster between 8:00 am–4:00 pm and 12:00 pm–8:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Applicants must be available for both shifts.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Deliver person-centred case management and support to individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability.

  • Develop, implement, and review tailored support plans that promote sustainable housing, wellbeing, and independence.

  • Provide practical support, advocacy, and referrals to help participants access housing, health, and community services.

  • Support participants to build skills, navigate services, and achieve their individual goals.

  • Collaborate with tenancy management and key stakeholders to deliver an integrated housing and support service.

  • Maintain accurate client records and respond to wellbeing, safety, and risk concerns in line with organisational requirements.

Requirements for success

  • Relevant qualifications in Community Services, Social Work, Human Services, Social Welfare, or a related discipline.

  • Experience working with people experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or complex support needs.

  •  Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and deliver person-centred, strengths-based support.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and external service networks.

  • Sound judgement, resilience, and the ability to manage risk and respond to challenging situations.

  • Strong administrative skills, including maintaining accurate case notes, support plans, and client records.

  • Full driver's licence with no restrictions.

  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate is required.

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.

Your benefits

To ensure our employees feel valued, empowered, and celebrated, we provide a range of employee benefits including:

  • Rewarding work – every day you know you’re making a real difference

  • Not-for-profit salary packaging, reducing your tax (details via AccessPay)

  • Free external, confidential counselling and access to chaplaincy support

  • Volunteering opportunities

  • Opportunity to purchase additional annual leave

  • Extra leave including: Mission Australia Thank You Day & Work Anniversary Day off
