About the role:

As Chief Financial Officer, you'll partner directly with our Founder & CEO, Executive Leadership Team and Board to shape Ofload's next chapter and lead the business towards a future IPO, trade sale or other strategic exit. 

You’ll lead a well-established finance function, day-to-day led by an experienced VP Finance and comprising dedicated FP&A, Financial Control, and Finance Transformation & Operations teams. Your focus will be to elevate this capability into an institutional-grade finance organisation while leading capital raising, M&A and post-merger integration. 

Beyond financial leadership, you'll create lasting organisational impact by aligning strategy and people. You'll be a trusted advisor to the Board and Executive Team, bringing the gravitas to influence strategic decisions while remaining close to the business and leading from the front.

This is an opportunity for an accomplished CFO who has successfully navigated a business through a major liquidity event and is motivated by the opportunity to do it again.


What you'll do:
  • Partner with the CEO, Executive Team and Board to define and execute Ofload's long-term growth strategy.
  • Build an institutional-grade finance function capable of supporting the company's next stage of scale.
  • Lead IPO readiness while maintaining strategic flexibility for a future trade sale or other liquidity event.
  • Drive finance transformation across systems, reporting, planning, governance and financial operations.
  • Lead equity and debt capital raising, investor engagement and banking relationships.
  • Identify, evaluate and execute acquisitions, strategic partnerships and post-merger integration.
  • Strengthen Board reporting, governance and performance insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner across the business to improve commercial performance, capital allocation and operational discipline.
  • Create lasting organisational impact by aligning financial strategy, people and business priorities to drive sustainable enterprise value.
  • Build, mentor and inspire a high-performing finance team, fostering a collaborative, high-accountability culture aligned with Ofload's values.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proven CFO experience leading fast paced or growth business through a maturing journey. (more sophisticated) 
  • Demonstrated experience leading a business through IPO readiness and a successful trade sale, strategic exit or other major liquidity event.
  • Extensive experience leading M&A strategy, acquisitions, integrations and corporate development.Experience in high-growth PE or VC-backed businesses  (CHAT)
  • Strong capital markets expertise, with proven experience in equity and debt capital raising, investor relations and value creation in PE and VC-backed businesses
  • Experience building institutional-grade finance functions, governance frameworks, scalable operating models and public-company-ready financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated executive presence and credibility with Boards, investors and executive leadership teams, with the ability to influence strategic decision-making
  • An accomplished people leader with experience building high-performing teams and fostering collaborative, values-led cultures through periods of rapid growth and transformation.
